Offered by Appointment

Classes and Youth Groups Welcome – Registration Required

Buckham Memorial Library welcomes classes and youth groups for tours, story programs, and book talks. Contact Children's Librarian Delane James to schedule a time for your group to visit the Library. (Contact information is on the right-hand side of this page.)

Information Literacy at Your Library – Registration Required

Offered by appointment: Contact Public Services Librarian Allyn McColley. (Contact information is on the right-hand side of this page.) Internet, Database, eAudiobook, and Web Catalog classes are offered free of charge at Buckham Memorial Library. Some typing skill and familiarity with use of the mouse is important for successful and fun use of electronic resources. Students will learn about tips and pitfalls of using the Internet, setting up an e-mail account, searching for magazine articles, becoming familiar with the many databases available through our Web site, and navigating the online Web catalog. Learn how to find genealogy resources, how to take a LearningExpress Library practice test online, how to find travel Web sites, or how to find the address for a business. Can you "Google?" Have you used the Web site for Ellis Island? Learn how at your Library!

Book Discussion Groups – Registration Required

Library staff facilitate several book discussion groups. Participants read for fun, and chat about books, authors, plots, and life. If you are an avid reader and you like to talk about books, call Public Services Librarian Allyn McColley. (Contact information is on the right-hand side of this page.) Interested in starting your own group? We can help you with that too!
