Overview
The Code Enforcement Department (Building Safety Department) includes the Building Official, two Building Inspectors, and the Rental Housing Inspector. Their primary responsibility is the enforcement of the Minnesota Uniform Building Code and Faribault Rental registration program through inspections of new and remodeled units within the community. The City of Faribault has averaged more than $42,000,000 in construction over the past five years, and the inspectors do an average of 4,000 inspections per year.
