Overview

The Community Development Department is responsible for the operation and oversight of the Faribault Flyer, the city's flexible route bus service, and the Senior Pass Program, a Title IIIB program providing subsidized bus rides to residents sixty or more years of age.

Current Transportation Programs

Faribault Flyer

The Faribault Flyer is the public transit program offered by the City of Faribault and administered by the Community Development Department. The Faribault Flyer provides affordable transportation services through its flexible route bus system with deviations available upon request. Bus service is provided Monday through Sunday. Fares are $1.00 per ride for most passengers. Schedules are available at the Buckham Center and Faribault City Hall.

Senior Pass

The Department administers the Senior Pass Program, a subsidized bus program for Faribault residents sixty (60) or more years of age. Participants, for a recommended donation of $6.00, receive ten (10) bus rides. Residents must register to participate at City Hall or at the Senior Center. Once registered, passes can be purchased at City Hall, the Senior Center, or by mail.

Atención Personas Mayores (Senior Pass Spanish version)

Los boletos para las personas mayores proporciona precios reducidos en el costo de los viajes en el bus a los residentes de Faribault que tengan 60 años o más. Usted puede registrarse para el programa en el City Hall, 208 NW Avenida primera, de Lunes a Viernes, desde las 8 de la mañana hasta la 6 de la tarde. Por favor traiga su licencia de manejar o una tarjeta de identificación para verificar su edad y dirección a donde vive. El precio es de $6 por diez boletos para sus viajes.
