Public Works - Streets

The Street Maintenance division of Public Works provides for the maintenance of city streets, ice and snow removal, sign and signage installation, repair and replacement, and maintenance of the city's vehicle and equipment fleet

Street maintenance activities include patching, seal coating, crack filling, sweeping, traffic control signs and signals, street lighting, and assisting other divisions within the Public Works Department when needed. The staff also completes a limited number of overlays each year and horizontal construction projects for the Park and Recreation Department, which also includes paving city trails. The division has ten fulltime employees including the superintendent.
