Economic Development Authority
The Economic Development Authority has authority to take action on economic development programs for business and industry. Its powers are defined in State law. The EDA is responsible for a number of locally initiated development and redevelopment programs: tax increment financing, industrial loan programs, commercial rehabilitation programs and an assortment of public improvements projects. Funding support is governed in large part by the EDA's Tax Increment Financing and Business Subsidy policies. The EDA meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 a.m., City Hall Public Meeting Room.
