  1. Faribault Ukulele Network (F.U.N.) Jam Sessions

    December 13, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM @ Buckham Memorial Library

    F.U.N. jam sessions are for ukulele players 16 and older. Participants must bring a ukulele, a tuner, and music stand and must know how to play at least 5 ukulele chords to attend these jam sessions. An option for less experienced players is the Library's Open Uke Hours where ukuleles and instruction for all ages is available.   2. Uke Can Make Music--Open Ukulele Hours

    December 20, 2018, All Day @ Buckham Memorial Library

    This program is for all ages and is designed for people who want to learn more about playing a ukulele. The library has ukuleles on site to try out, and a person on staff who will teach you about the ukulele and how to learn how to play. You may also bring your own uke if you have one. We will go over the basics and show you additional resources for learning the ukulele. No experience necessary.

  1. Itsy Bitsy Makes Waves (and Saves Water)

    Join Professional Storyteller and CRWP Water Educator Kevin Strauss for a program of Itsy Bitsy Spider stories, songs, and easy ways that kids and adults can save water (and money). All participants will receive a “Leak-Finder” kit and handout.     LittleBigRead is an informal “reading buddies” program for school age youth that pairs younger kids with older kids for one-on-one reading time. Younger kids can read to or be read to by older kids or they can take turns sharing a book together. This program is a fun and no-pressure way for children to build a passion for reading for the fun of it. It is not a tutoring program. Books are chosen by the readers from the library’s collection or favorites can also be brought from home. No registration necessary – just drop in and read!
