Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Wednesdays & Thursdays at 10:30am (30 minutes) In the Children’s Program Area Ages 0-6 with adult caregiver. Siblings and guests welcome. Join us at the library for stories, songs, and fun! Storytime encourages language development and fosters a love of books and a lifetime of learning. Parents and caregivers will also learn about early literacy and get tips on how to help their child become ready to read. No registration necessary.

LittleBigRead is an informal program for school age youth that pairs older kids with younger kids for one-on-one reading time. Younger kids can read to or be read to by older kids or they can take turns reading a book together. This program is meant to be a fun and no-pressure way to build a passion for reading for the fun of it. It is not a tutoring program or homework help. Books will be chosen by the readers from the library's collection or favorites can be brought from home. LittleBigRead meets weekly on Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted, on the youth side of the library. No registration is necessary.

For over 50 years, the Fridley City Band has attracted both professionals and gifted amateur players. The members have formed a specialty German band that plays popular arrangements in Faribault because the largest European ethnic group is German. The German band has performed on national television. This Parks and Recreation event is sponsored by Reynolds Services, Inc. - Asphalt Maintenance.

Faribault area residents are encouraged to attend one or more of the five Free Outdoor Family Flicks at dusk, sponsored by the Faribault Parks and Recreation Department. On June 30, at the Faribault Family Aquatic Center, bring the family to "Dr. Suess' The Lorax." Area residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and a snack.
