DSU Research, the market research division of Dahlgren, Shardlow and Uban (DSU) was hired by the City of Faribault and the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce to complete a study of the commercial development opportunities in Faribault. The study was completed in November, 2004.
The purpose of the research study was to:
Assess the potential for big-box (or large-format) retail
Develop actionable recommendations based on study findings
Examine interchange development opportunities
Examine the health and potential of Faribault’s commercial districts
Quantify demand from residents for commercial uses
Review city processes with respect to commercial development
